Role: IAM Technical Architect
Duration: 3 Months
Day rate: £545.00
The Technical Architect is responsible for the overall technical design and build of the solution. The Technical Architect works as a team member along with the Solutions Architect, DevOps professionals and the Project Manager to deliver the complete solution for the customer.
Taking part in pre-sales engagements.
Liaising with stakeholders in the inception phase to define and understand requirements.
Playing a key role in the elaboration phase, working to identify use cases, risks and dependencies.
Overseeing the construction phase, directing and coordinating build and configuration work where required.
Planning and taking part in customer training and familiarisation in the transition phase.
Production of detailed technical design documents to match the solution design specifications.
Participate in and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer
Research and development to enable continued innovation in I&AM.
Demonstrable experience of using the Forgerock stack,
Experience with Identity and Access Management solutions, preferably with ForgeRock products.
Able to explain the steps that make up common SSO and federation standards (SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, SPNEGO, NTLM CDSSO) and relate the steps to wire-level payloads.
Cryptography understanding to be able to explain hashing, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, and its implementation in PKI, SSL, digital signatures
Self organising, and able to prioritise activities to meet project outcomes
Good presentation of written documentation, including UML, using common static and dynamic diagrams
Apache HTTP server (and variants) configuration and/or IIS server configuration.
JEE Application server configuration (especially Tomcat).
At least basic Java development skills.
SSL / X.509 keystore handling, certificate generation & installation.
Good understanding of PKI.
LDAP / AD skills, especially Kerberos
Translation of logical design into Operational Architecture
Solution design expertise, including logical design (elaboration,)
Full life-cycle project experience, and able to plan or estimate for full project lifecycle
HTTP / HTML debugging tools: Wireshark, Fiddler etc.
Hands-on use of configuration management tools, e.g. Subversion, GIT.
Continuous integration experience, using a variety of tools: UNIX shell scripting, chef, puppet
