Role:                    DV Cleared Oracle & SQL DBA.

Length:                12 Months +

Location:            Reading

Pay Rate:            Market Rates (Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

• Full life cycle support of Oracle (19c) and MS SQL (2016, 2019 & 2022) environments.
• Provide advice and recommendations on database architecture, design, and implementation.
• Develop, support, and communicate database policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Design and implement database solutions that meet customer requirements for reliability, availability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Install, upgrade and test database software, in addition to troubleshooting database issues.
• Responsible for development of database backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and identifying potential data errors.
• Plan and perform disaster recovery testing with database restoration in alternate locations.
• Assist application development teams with planning and implementations, including review and approval of database schema changes, procedures and query optimizations.
• Maintain the performance of the database estate.
• Respond to incidents / changes within published SLA’s to maintain/resume service • Work with 3rd party suppliers as necessary to meet operational demands.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure integration of databases with other systems and applications is compliant with operational standards and best practice.
