In this role you will be responsible for variety of elements across the business, working alongside a team of dedicated & skilled individuals. You will be carrying out various network type functions this could be anything from configuring and troubleshooting firewalls to routers/switches, back room systems and much more. The requirements for a network engineer can change daily depending on the task at hand so flexibility and problem management will play a huge part in your day.
Assisting with large complex network refresh projects, from removing legacy multivendor environments and installing and configuring NG Cisco equipment.
An active CCNA/CCNP or working towards CCNP accreditation.
Previous experience of configuration and administration of Cisco ASA Firewalls, Firepower, Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Juniper, Fortigates and multi-vendor Wi-Fi environments
Good experience of multi-vendor hardware, software and network connection troubleshooting.
Experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Proven track record of troubleshooting different protocols such as TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IPSec VPN, QoS, DHCP and DNS
Experience with network segregation and configuration of cloud-based environments.
Experience with Software Defined networking.
Network automation experience.
Scripting in Python or similar.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
