    This month brings the 16th annual Dell Technologies Services Partner Forum. The three day event, running from the 28th to the 30th of October 2019, will take place at the Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa in the picturesque countryside of Austin, Texas.

    As trusted Dell EMC partners since 2002, we at IF will be in attendance to meet old and new friends alike. This is going to be an exciting and productive event that will prepare Dell EMC and partners like ourselves for the future, readying us to tackle coming opportunities and challenges as a single, integrated team.

    The forum provides an exciting opportunity for Dell and their partners to strengthen and build their relationship.

    Each year the Dell Partner Forum has a mission, and 2019 is no different. Dell Technologies have an exciting lineup of conferences and keynote speakers all focusing on the theme of ‘Accelerating the Digital Future’. Dell, IF, and other partners old and new will be focusing on the strategies and resources needed to provide Dell’s customers with an unrivalled service experience.

    The key areas of focus for this year’s conference include:

    -Accelerating customers’ digital transformation.

    -Reducing complexity to provide a smooth and seamless customer experience.

    -Becoming more agile through streamlining processes, leveraging AI/BI, automation, and reducing waste.

  • Lawspeed IR35 Conference

    Lawspeed IR35 Conference

    IF pride ourselves on keeping abreast of the latest changes in industry regulations and law. In preparation for the forthcoming IR35 legislative changes taking place from April 2020 we are pleased to announce that we will be attending the Lawspeed IR35 Conference on the 19/09/2019.

    The all day conference set up by Lawspeed (UK recruitment experts and IR35 specialists) will be taking place in London. Lawspeed will be providing a breakdown of the new IR35 rules and the exact changes to AWR and sector regulation. Lawspeed have provided several of their own keynote speakers (including directors Adrian Marlowe and Theresa Mimnagh, as well as legal expert Peter Lappin). Government speakers have also confirmed their attendance; Ben Bruten, the head of the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate of the BEIS, and Paula Jarnecki (support lead with the HMRC for Off Payroll Working). Other industry leaders, such as Raffingers partner Lee Manning, have also been confirmed as presenting. As a complete roster, the speaker list represents one of the largest knowledge bases of IR35 regulation in the entire country.

    The conference is one of a number of ways IF Recruitment are taking all necessary steps to prepare ourselves, and by extension our clients and contractors, for the rollout of IR35 to the private sector.     Google I/O 2019

    We here at IF Recruit will be attending the Google I/O 2019 event at Adastral Park, and we would be very happy for you to join us!

    The event, hosted by Coderus and Innovation Martlesham with sponsorhip by BT, will take place on Tuesday the 7th of May. This is the 5th event of its kind and a truly unique opportunity.

    You will have the chance to watch a live stream of Google’s Keynote Presentations from Mountain View, experience Google Demos and Networking, and sit in on talks from exciting keynote speakers.

    Innovation Martlesham 2019 Careers Fair

    It’s been a busy week here at IF Recruitment. Wednesday saw the Innovation Martlesham 2019 Careers Fair, a fantastic day for IT and business professionals in the local area to meet many of the dozens of companies based on the Adastral Park campus. As an active member of the Adastral campus community, we at IF jumped at the opportunity to get to know some of the amazingly talented individuals living and working in Suffolk.

    The event was a resounding success, with over a thousand people attending. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone that stopped by our stand and not only are we looking forward to assisting the IT professionals we met, but we are also delighted to be helping the Students (who will be the professionals of tomorrow) with planning their future careers.

    It was refreshing to see that, no matter which stage of their professional journey, all were excited at the prospect of becoming part of the Adastral community and the ground breaking innovative work carried out here every day.

    It’s quite clear that the event was a huge success for everybody involved. We at IF started new relationships with dozens of amazing individuals, had the opportunity to get to know some of our neighbours better, and of course were reminded once again just how much of a privilege it is to be based in one of the most important locations in the UK technology industry. If the 2019 event was anything to go, the 2020 jobs@adastral will be even larger. We look forward to seeing you there!

    I love to talk Cloud.  ( And I love to talk…)  Some might say a perfect combination for a Cloud and Storage Recruitment Consultant… But the best part of my job is listening to our clients and candidates discuss their passions for Cloud Technology.

    I’m super excited to attend another fantastic event at the ExCeL – The AWS Summit.  I’m heading down tomorrow ( 10th May 2018) to meet lots of new faces and hear about the advances in technology. Because lets face it, in the “Cloud World”, you need to keep up to speed!

    I’m really proud to support some the of AWS Summit’s sponsoring organisations with their recruitment requirements and can’t wait to see them show off their capabilities. This helps me understand their business even more so – so i’m not complaining!

    IF Recruitment Exhibits at BT Innovation 2017 Event

    IF Recruitment were proud to be part of Innovation 2017 event hosted by BT at Adastral Park during June 2017. 　The Event was to celebrate all the Innovations that are taking place at the Park, members of Innovation Martlesham, the established cluster of over 90 high-tech ICT companies located at Adastral Park, were also exhibiting.

    For more than a century now, BT has looked to innovation to bring new products and services, improve customer experience, efficiency gains and to unlock exciting new opportunities. BT’s very origins can be traced back 180 years to an entrepreneurial fusion of business and innovation. On June 12th 1837 William Fothergill Cooke (an entrepreneur and business man) and Professor Sir Charles Wheatstone (an academic) filed a patent for the world’s first practical electric telegraph. These collaborators were excited by the commercial potential that the recently discovered phenomenon of electricity and magnetism could offer for communications

    The event show cased over 100 demos, presentations and exhibition stands hosted by award-winning technologists, scientists and innovators and covered a range of key innovation topics.

    The event was a huge success with approximately 1000 attendees per day from all over the world.

    Come along to our Storage event

    On Thursday 6th October IF Recruitment will be hosting another storage-focused event, hosted by our key storage consultants, Chelsea and Penny. We firmly believe networking to be one of the most valuable tools in an IT professional’s arsenal and are keen to continue to provide platforms for our contractors to continue to grow their contacts.

    The event will feature some top tips from IF Recruitment and plenty of opportunity for those operating in the IT storage environment to network with peers and discuss future plans and aspirations. We find these events hugely valuable in continuing to further develop existing relationships as well form new.

    We have chosen a very interesting venue for this fun and informative event – the historic Lamb Tavern located in Leadenhall Market in the heart of the City of London.
